The Younger Years
A Millennial duo channeling the legacy of bands like Oh Wonder and The Civil Wars, they are fusing love songs with the alt thrills of M83. Self declaring their genre defying work as “lo-fi cinema pop.” After a year of writing television and trailer songs together, LA singer-songwriter/producer Jordan Frye and Nashville’s popstar Carla Cappa (CAPPA) have tag-teamed to create an intimate collection of songs filled with starry-night fantasies, mixed with darker, apocalyptic existentialism. Rescuing bits and pieces from raw home studio recordings and demos, The Younger Years have boldly transformed heartfelt teenaged secrets, into bold, mesmerizing soundscapes.
Releasing their debut single “Rule the World” in 2019 The Younger Years hopes to break a few more hearts with 2020 single “Heroes”.
